Warner Bros. Photos’ “Barbie” film continues to interrupt field workplace information and is now the U.S. movie studio’s highest grossing home launch.

Director Greta Gerwig’s film, launched July 21, had topped $541 million as of Thursday, passing up its predecessor, “The Darkish Knight,” based on The Numbers, a box-office information web site.

The 2008 superhero movie, directed by British-American director and screenwriter Christopher Nolan, beforehand held the report with $533 million, the location is reporting.

Globally, “Barbie” is closing in on “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Half II” because the highest-grossing Warner Bros. film ever, The Numbers stories. The 2011 launch, which capped off the unique “Harry Potter” sequence, hauled in $1.3 billion all over the world, bolstered by $934 million in field workplace gross sales exterior the U.S.
